Altar Guild 1) The members of this group are women who desire to praise God and minister to the people of Saint James' by faithfully preparing His Altar for each worship service so that it will be one of beauty and reverence. There are two services each Sunday in the Church and one in the Minsitry Center. Duty is every 5 weeks with a team of 3-5 people who will help you learn what to do. 2) There also are members of the Altar Guild who launder the altar linens. You learn through diagrams and demonstrations how to fold linen pieces and are given hints for removing wine and lipstick, etc. Laundering is done at home, but you share duty with another person who launders until you feel comfortable working by yourself.
